Discovering Life [Post-Hardcore]

every breath I take, every second I blink
with every time I die,
there comes a wave, wave of desire
I desire, I thrive, I'm thriving, I'm rising

there's something beyond, I know it's there
I've always known, I've never seen
what I'm doing here, I'm looking beneath
beneath the surface of the earth, the surface veins within

wading through water and walking through land
soaring higher and higher, closer to dying
before I take a final breath, I'll take a chance once more
there's something to find, a note I must leave

beyond this world, there's a greater source of life
a being of anger, overflowing hatred from the soul
maybe he is the devil, or maybe he is god
how can I know, I must go beyond, I must die for now

I'll be back again, I know I will
I'll leave a message, for in another life is when I'm back
I'll be back again as another soul
another body to claim for me, seemingly different, but all the same

close your eyes and feel yourself
as you fall away from the boundaries of the world
unto the pits, away from the gates, you're falling free
take a breath and see the change, it happens slow, but so fast you think

we are just dolls, a video game in a way, we stand for nothing
there's something greater, and we're on our way, discovering
for us to know, what we are, who we are, and what we do
we must take the chance of death for sure, come out of the realm

your limits go as far as you wish to see
are you confined to your body, to this state, this soul
you can switch between worlds at will
but you must believe, this is such a feat, easy to do, but hard to discover

once you know, you'll know your limits
your bounded by nothing, you can go so far as you want to go
do what's not been done and show them it can be done
you are bound by nothing, you can find the answers

we've been searching for our who life
and as the earth falls to pieces, the explosion destroys all within
the planet's surface and all the life upon the face of earth
you'll be standing above them all, watching in horror as they die with warning

you've all been warned, but you wouldn't listen
it is all your fault, you should have listened to me
discover yourself, what you can do, your mind is your limit
you're bound by nothing, so make it far

Universal Connection [Post-Hardcore]

the inner peace of the great chain of life
has been disrupted, the earth will be destroyed
the guardians are awakened, it's a violent night
the inner peace has been disrupted, where will we go

from here to the ends of the earth
maybe our inspirational guides of our lives
have taught us more than just one thing
about our lives, who we are, where to go

somewhere far beyond, there is something big
it's growing, keeps growing, beyond our reach
but soon we'll see, it's more than this
more than we could have ever imagined

maybe a few philosophers understood the link beyond
a portal unto another world
relax and breathe, this is who you are, now forget it all for now
believe you're free of time, this is what we've learned

to travel through the boundaries of time,
the laws of physics, broken time and time again, but
this is us, this is now, take a breather, lose yourself with us
here we go, we'll travel light, through the bounds of time

bound by physics to the body, our soul within
we once traveled into the woman of birth
now we must leave again, take a breath and leap into
the time machine, the portal between the worlds we're in

we're trapped between, two worlds at war
don't you see, we're onto it
there's something more than what they say
if this is heaven, then what is hell

I'm not sure I want to know
waking up, how long was I gone from this
coming out of a coma, a new world within
I'm not who I was before I bore this pain, an unbearable feat

as time went on, they cease to exist
as I live my life and laugh it off
this wasn't meant to be, I wasn't meant to see this at all
but it can't be undone, so please kill me now

my discovery, flesh and bone, universal connection within
unnoticed for centuries, unable to withstand the history
three thousand years until I'm home again,
at last I'm free, I'm home again, but I'm alone
